A Trip to Town
So today I visited London, primarily for an appointment, but I made sure to go in with plenty of time to peruse the shops and try to find those gorgeous items you see other people buy and can never find yourself. Since I was born I have gone into the city for appointments, and only until recently have I realised that the opportunity to get to know it, and spend time in it, was a wonderful thing.
Besides popping into Boots and Superdrug for some products not available in my own town's shops, my main stop was Monki. I'd heard about it through YouTube, and then through blogs, and really liked the look of what people had got from there. I decided to see for myself, and asked for a t-shirt from there this Christmas. I love it, and it is possibly one of my most worn pieces due to its simplicity but 'cool-ness'. I entered the shop, slightly nervous, but I LOVED IT.
The mirrored stairs, the circular rails, the funky colours - oh gosh, I could have stayed for hours. Unfortunately, without an unlimited supply of money, I had to make do with three purchases, all of which I'm pleased with. I am going to try to create a mood-board thing with details of my purchases, and my OOTD.

A Little Introduction
I have watched and fawned over beauty and fashion related YouTube videos for years now, and have recently ventured into reading up on blogs of a similar type. I am now making a massive leap and trying to start my own to share my thoughts and feelings, and to try to become more involved in a world I dream of becoming a part of.
I am not claiming to be a beauty or fashion expert, and will admit freely that: I have only ever bought one foundation in my life, and have never actually worn it out of the comfort of my own home; for years I lived in jeans and hoodies, despairing over just the thought of showing any form of my figure; and have not got the bank balance to be filling my drawers with masses of new make up every week.
But, alas, I start this blog with the intention of making the best of what I do know, and can do.
